Last Dec 20th, it was announced that Johnny’s Jr. will appear in a monthly production called “Gamushura J’s Party!“, which will be held at TV Asahi’s EX Ropoongi Theater. The production announcement was attended by 20 members of Johnny’s Jr., which includes: Jesse, Matsumura Hokuto, and Iwahashi Genki. Sexy Zone‘s Sato Shori, Nakajima Kento, and Kikuchi Fuma were also present in the event as junior supporters.

Just like the famous party scene in Roppongi, “Gamushura J’s Party!” (J’s Reckless Party!) will be a “no holds barred” party that is full song, dance, illusions, and DJ that won’t be confined to a single genre.

Jesse expressed his excitement with the upcoming show, most especially because it will be an all juniors event. He also added that he would do his best so he won’t be defeated by his seniors. Another junior, Yasui Kentaro has hopes to transform the theater in to the hottest place in Japan.

Though the show’s content isn’t exactly revealed, it was also announced  that the theater’s seats in the first level will be removed transforming the first level to standing section.

Gamushura J’s Party!” will happen on Feb 1st and 2nd next year.

Sexy Zone Prepares for a Flashy Performance for Kohaku

Unlike NYC who thrives to be cute during their Kohaku performances, Sexy Zone aims to live-up to their name by staging a flashy and sexy performances. Here I am hoping that “bringing the sexy back” would add points to secure White Team‘s win…

As reported,

Last Dec 29th, Sexy Zone had their rehearsal for the NHK‘s 64th Kohaku Uta Gassen at Shibuya Hall in Tokyo. It will be the first time that the group would perform for Kohaku .

Sexy Zone’s Nakajima Kento said that their performance has to be “flashy” as the group will be the first to perform for White Team. He wanted the group’s performance to create an impact as they are the “first batter” for the team.

Sexy Zone will be doing a medley titled “Sexy Peace Zone Selection” where a bunch of Johnny’s Jr. will act as back-dancers where Nakajima stated that it will be sexy, full of sex appeal, and something fresh in a live production.

The 64th Kohaku Uta Gassen will be live in NHK on Dec 31st, 7:15 PM (JST)

I’m excited for this program not because of Kento but because of the man he will feature for this show. I saw Ebiken’s performance in “America’s Got Talent” and I was just gobsmacked.

As reported,

It was announced that Sexy Zone‘s Nakajima Kento will host NHK BS Premium’s special feature, titled:Challenge! Yume no sono saki e ~Sexy Zone Nakajima Kento meets America’s No . 1 performer“.

The show will feature Kenichi Ebina, who auditioned on “America’s Got Talent” September last year, and made it up to the last round where he won 1 million USD.

Kenichi Ebina, more popularly called as “Ebiken”, startled the judges and audience with his audition performance where he did the “neck drop” down to reproducing the famous scene from the “Matrix” movie where Ebiken pretends to dodge bullets. Because of his performance in the said reality show, Ebiken has been in demand to perform all over the world.

Nakajima is completely charmed with Ebiken’s performance and said that he didn’t waste even one second in making an earth-shattering performance.

Here is the audition performance of Ebiken at America’s Got Talent

Challenge! Yume no sono saki e ~Sexy Zone Nakajima Kento meets America’s No . 1 performer” will air on Apr 30th at 08:00 PM (JST).

Uh-oh…this is something expected but still surprising.

As reported,

It was reported that Sexy Zone will be releasing their 7th single, titled: “Otoko never give up” (Man never give up) this September. The said single was recorded with only the three older members of the group- Sato Shori, Nakajima Kento, and Kikuchi Fuma. The three members will also have a new song recital at Yoyogi First Gymnasium.

During the single’s announcement, the exclusion of Marius Yo and Matsushima Sou, from the single was met with surprise. Nakajima commented that they just want to show various forms of Sexy Zone and Kikuchi added that their success is likely to spread toward the two (Marius and Matsushima), and will increase once they became 5 again.

The management also clarified that Marius and Matsushima didn’t withdraw from the group.

An unlikely team-up to grace small screen this fall.

As reported,

It has been reported that Sexy Zone’s Nakajima Kento and actress Sasaki Nozomi will star in TV Asahi drama, “Kurofuku Monogatari” (Tales of Black Suit), that will air this October.

Based from Kurashina Ryou‘s original manga, Kurofuku tells the story of Ogawa Akira (Nakajima), a ronin who is taking the medical entrance exam for the third time. Unable to defeat the stress, he finds himself wandering in the streets of Tokyo when he met Kyoko (Sasaki), the no.1 club hostess in Ikebukuro. Awestruck by Kyoko’s beauty, he takes a job at Kyoko’s club. A bittersweet love story between a hostess and a rookie in black suit.

Nakajima is learning on proper conduct in a cabaret bar as well as passing ice and bottles to ladies. Although night life is a strange world for Nakajima, he thinks that he can act naturally for a guy in black suit.

This is the first time that the two leads will be working together and filming will start by September.

[Drama Preview] Fall Dramas 2014 starring Johnny’s

$
0
0

From a full-pack Johnny’s lead dramas during summer, expect some shortage this fall not just with the number of dramas but also with the role choices as we have our idols playing two roles: teacher and student. If that didn’t excite you to catch some of your idols dramas this season then I don’t know how much more can I convince you. XD.

Here is a short preview of dramas that you must not miss this fall.

[All dramas included only stars Johnny’s in lead role]

GOMEN NE SEISHUN

Starring : Nishikido Ryo (Kanjani8), Shigeoka Daiki (Johnny’s WEST), Mitsushima Hikari, Nagayama Kento, Haru, Triendl Reina, Shirasu Jin, Kuroshina Yuina, Morikawa Aoi, Koseki Yuta, Suzuki Takayuki, Yamoto Yuma, Tomiyama Eriko, Hisamatsu Ikumi, Ryusei Ryo, Saito Yuki, Morishita Aiko, Enari Kazuki, Nakamura Shizuka, Hida Yasuhito, Shishido Miwako, Ueki Natto, Sakai Maki, Namase Katsuhisa, Kazama Morio

The gist : Nishikido Ryo plays Hara Heisuke, a teacher in an all-boys Buddhist school. To increase the number of students from the said school, the school decided to have a joint cultural festival with the nearby all-girls’ school as sort-of trial event for possible merger between two schools.

What to expect : Well, we can see some plot similarities in Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou except for the lack of yankis in this school drama. However, comparing it with Bakaleya might be blasphemous since “Gomen ne Seishun” isn’t just simple school drama with Kudo Kankuro as the scriptwriter. This is Nishikido’s and Kudo’s reunion drama since “Ryuusei no Kizuna” and instead of angst-filled drama, Kudo will try to make Nishikido funny, which isn’t really Nishikido’s strong point after seeing him in Yorozu Uranai Dokoro Onmyouya e Yokoso. Still, Kudo is a phenomenal writer so he might be able to unleash Nishikido’s comedy prowess.

Random flail : See Nishikido interact with one of his students and real-life kouhai, Shigeoka Daiki, who is playing one of his many students. Speaking of student, Nishikido could still play student roles.

JIGOKU SENSEI NUBE

Starring : Maruyama Ryuhei (Kanjani8), Chinen Yuri (Hey!Say!JUMP), Kiritani Mirei, Mokomichi Hayami, Jiyoung, Yamamoto Mizuki, Sakagami Shinobu, Takahashi Hideki, Nakagawa Taishi, Yoshizawa Ryo, Sano Hinako and Shimizu Kazuki

The gist : A modern re-telling of the classic anime where Maruyama plays Nueno Meisuke , part-teacher and part-exorcist, who battles demons using his “demon hand” to maintain peace at the school where he teaches.

What to expect : There are huge expectations for this live-action drama as the manga and anime have a huge fanbase. It’ll be awesome if Maru can fulfill the expectations and it’s up to the writers and director to make this equal, if not better, than the original. Nonetheless, expect Maru’s trademark, which is scrunching his face, and more laughter as paranormal and comedy collides.

Random flail : See Maruyama and Chinen together as this will be their first work. I haven’t got past the part of someone mistaking Chinen to be playing an elementary student. haha. Thankfully, this drama is set in high school. Speaking of Chinen, most of Yuto’s co-stars from Suikyu Yankees will be here so they get to bond with Chinen after Yuto.

KURUFUKU MONOGATARI

Starring : Nakajima Kento (Sexy Zone), Nozomi Sasaki, Yasui Kentaro (Johnny’s Jr), Yamamoto Yusuke, Kashiwagi Yuki (AKB48), Nakao Akiyoshi, Yanagi Shuntaro, Sugimoto Yumi, Yanagi Yurina, Fukuyoshi Marina, Kaneda Ayana, Kurokawa Tomoka, Aiba Hiroki, Nakajima Hiroko, Jinbo Satoshi, Kitamura Yukiya, Kaname Jun, Takenaka Naoto, Miwako Kakei

The gist : Nakajima Kento plays a college ronin who fell in love at first sight with the beautiful hostess played by Nozomi. In order to get close to her, he goes to her club and starts working as a black-suited staff member and learns more about the ways of the world.

What to expect : If I’m right, this is NakaKen’s second lead drama after Bad Boys J, which was only tolerable because of Fukka. XD. Hopefully, he has matured as an actor and can take on this type of role since he’ll be dealing with the adult world. Aside from that, considering that he’s younger than Nozomi, I wonder if they’ll have enough chemistry to make people stay-up late and watch this.

Random flail : NakaKen being surrounded with lots of women but I just want to see how he will act alongside Yamamoto Yusuke and Kaname Jun.

Other dramas with Johnny’s in minor/supporting role

  •  Okamoto Kei (Hey!Say!JUMP) in FIRST CLASS where he plays an intern, which is in a way still a student.
  • Junnosuke Taguchi (KAT-TUN) in Kyou wa Kaisha Yasumimasu where he plays a fellow salesman.
  • Fujigaya Taisuke (Kis-My-Ft2) in Nobunaga Concerto. I’m still not sure what will be Taipi’s role but it could be one of the many soldiers or someone higher like a vassal or retainer.

In a nutshell, I want to see Gomen ne Seishun and Jigoku Sensei Nube. I even want to recap Jigoku but it will still depend on how much I like it. Anyway, there are lots of non-Johnny’s dramas this season that I want to see so it’s going to be crazy.

I’m not sure if this will be all for this Fall, September is about to end and JE haven’t announced more dramas, so I’ll keep this post updated.

Cutting my hiatus short because this needs to be blog. A bold move by Sexy Zone fans who wants to see the younger members back!

As reported earlier, Sexy Zone‘s latest single, “Otoko never give up!” will only feature the three older members, namely: Nakajima Kento, Sato Shori, and Kikuchi Fuma. Younger members, Marius Yo and Matsushima Sou were excluded from the said single. The said single was released last Oct 1st and got 1st place in Oricon’s Single Daily ranking.

Tsurutsu tea | @ Mkp_wk

Even though the single placed first, fans decided to voice-out their anxiety over the three-member Sexy Zone through twitter and made the plan of making Sexy Zone’s first single emerge on Oricon’s Single Daily Ranking. Sexy Zone’s self-titled first single was released last Nov 2011 and Sexy Zone fans who agreed to the plan was able to make the single appear from nowhere to the Top 30 single daily ranking. Sexy Zone’s “Sexy Zone” managed to break at 17th place last Oct 3rd, they ranked even higher than Hey!Say!JUMP’s “Ashita e no YELL/Weekender” single (released last Sept 3rd). As of writing, “Sexy Zone” have faltered to 21st place. Nonetheless, fans have shown that they are united to bring back the 5-members Sexy Zone.

(c)jnews1

Even record stores like Tower Records in Kichijoji have tweeted that they have to re-stock after all  editions of “Sexy Zone” have been sold-out.

via jnews1, twitter, and hateblo

This just goes to show that fans can make or break you. In Sexy Zone’s case, I’m full of respect to fans who made this happen. I’m glad that they’re not the type who just accept whatever the management decided and they showed their displeasure without putting “Otoko never give up” in jeopardy. To the fans, you’re amazing!

First Impressions on Kurofuku Monogatari

$
0
0

Kurofuku Monogatari” gets high ratings for their pilot episode at 9.3% (11 pm time-slot). I must have underestimated Nakajima Kento’s popularity or maybe tons of AKB wotas have tune-in for Yukirin. Anyway, I was not impressed with NakaKen’s acting in “Bad Boys J” so I watched “Kurofuku Monogatari” with so-so expectations and let’s see how it turns-out.

Here is a quick recap of Kurofuku Monogatari : Episode 1

The story starts with Kogawa Akira (Nakajima Kento) as busies himself for his entrance exam the next day at the school where every high school students wants to go- Tokyo University. However, for Akira, aiming for ToDai is like trying to reach the stars, it’ll be his third time and he is losing confidence.

His mother’s words isn’t helping either, he was too pressured that during the exam day, he rushes out of the exam room because the stress he has felt has turned psychosomatic.

Akira decides to go back to his hometown, Shizuoka, where his Doctor dad still insists that he takes the exam at ToDai. He gives him pamphlets of preparatory schools that he can go to. In fairness to Akira, he did go to the prep school but his classmates treats him as a fool after learning that it’ll be his third try in ToDai.

Feeling that the world is against him, Akira goes to a bar where he got drunk, got kicked-out for the lack of money, and end-up wandering around until he felt asleep in a back alley somewhere in Ikebukuro.

In the midst of drunken stupor, he sees Kyoko (Nozomi Sasaki), a pretty lady who is being harassed by three goons lead by (Kaname Jun). Kyoko is being recruited by a different host club and before they can force her, Akira springs into action by telling the goons that a lady must be treated properly.

Well, he’s still drunk and he get some beating while Kyoko pretends to call the police. The goons make their escape and Kyoko tries to console Akira by giving him her handkerchief. She gives him a smile before she leaves for work and that’s when Akira thinks he has fallen in love.

Wandering along the streets of Ikebukuro, Akira sees a front door sign with Kyoko’s picture in it as the no.1 host of Juliet. The waiter assists him inside and Akira takes a seat on one of the bar’s plush sofa. When he sees Kyoko mingling with other guests, he gets enthralled by her beauty leaveing his mouth wide open when Miki (Kashiwagi Yuki) arrives.

Miki sweetly introduces herself and Akira can’t help but stare at the luscious cleavage being offered for his eyes to feast on. Well, just like any typical hostess, Miki serves him drinks while she asks questions about Akira and pretends to be interested. Of course, they can’t just drink so she also asks for some fruit and cheese. Few minutes later, Miki gets called on because she got designated by a different customer, leaving Akira behind, and another girl comes in brandishing her smooth long legs. Akira can’t help not to feel being close to heaven with all the attention that gets.

Until the bill comes in and he has no money whatsoever. Yuji (Nakao Akiyoshi) and Nobori (Yasui Kentaro) was left with the task of making him pay while Harada (Yamamoto Yusuke) smokes nearby. Yuji threatens him to call the police or his parents to settle his bill. Akira pleads to let him work as a waiter to settle his bill because he’s sure that he can do “this kind of thing”. His statement irks Harada and says that they do their work with pride and if Akira thinks that he can just hang around with hostesses then he’s wrong. Harada doesn’t want brats like him in but Boss (Takenaka Naoto) has the last say and hires Akira in.

It’s Akira’s first night of work and he immediately goes to Kyoko to ask if she remembers him but she gives him a cold shoulder and says that she has no idea who he is. The real work starts and Akira is finding the work not as easy as it looks. He gets reproach by Yuji for his posture and the like.

At the girls’ locker room, the girls are talking on how Akira might not last long in their type of job. Miki decides to bully him when he enters the room to get the trash can. She asks him to pull her dress zipper down because he can’t reach it and asks him if he wants to help her with her bra. Akira was just dumbfounded and Miki tells him that he shouldn’t believe things like that easily. She also tells him that she will never go out with a staff. In short, the staff are the hostesses (cast) servant.

Speaking of staff and hostesses, Akira receives another slap on the head from Yuji for speaking to Kyoko too casually. When he asks on why Harada openly talks to Kyoko, Yuji says that it’s because Harada is Kyoko’s manager. As it happens, some staffs can get promoted as a manager to service one cast (hostess) and manage her work. Akira thinks that being a manager is cool but Yuji tells him that they are just really slaves for the “princesses”. As managers, they are responsible to make sure that their cast arrives on time at work and the cast even demand things like buying them their tampons.

Even though Akira looks unreliable, he comes to work early to memorize the “bottles” for each customers. He memorizes each bottles and their respective owners the way he memorize things at prep school– with the use of flash cards. While Akira is talking with the boss, the owner- Kanzaki (Kitamura Yukiya)- arrives and later on, Akira gets called at his office.

At Kanzaki’s office, Akira was asked about the difference between the sex industry and the hostess industry. Akira says that the sex industry is about the woman’s body while the host industry is about the drinks. Kanzaki agrees with Akira’s analogy but says that in the hostess industry, the girls are the product. How is that different with the sex industry? Anyway, Kanzaki tells him that he will let him manage a cast.

Harada is against it and Akira also says that he doesn’t have the confidence to manage a cast. Not to mention, Akira is set to managed Miki, probably one of the most problematic girls in the bar. Miki feels like she’s being cast-out for having Akira as her manager and she has more to say until the boss says that it was the owner’s decision. Well, that shut her up.

Miki proves to be a challenge as she didn’t report for work the next day despite promising Akira to be arrived by 9PM. Akira has to faced two old men who are too pissed that Akira’s promise got broken. One of them even pours wine on Akira’s head and it certainly wasn’t his lucky night as one of his high school classmate arrives.

Not only does Akira’s high school classmate is super cocky, he even designates Kyoko along with two other girls for his friends. The cocky classmate isn’t done in showing his superiority over Akira and tells his friends and everyone else who can hear that Akira have failed ToDai twice and tells him that he should not do part-time work at that kind of place since the world of the night is filled with dropouts. Akira has no say to that and went on doing his job.

Akira’s lack of retaliation irks Harada and gives him a punch when they are cleaning the place. Harada tells Akira that he is obviously ashamed of their job because he didn’t even tell the guys that he’s working full-time and not part-time as what they have thought of. In the end, Harada tells him that he’s not fit in their world and Akira runaway.

Akira receives a call from his mother, who has no idea that he had stopped going to prep school. Feeling lost again, he goes to the prep school the next day only to be seen by Kyoko. Akira skips prep-school and accompanies Kyoko to a swimming club where the two got to talk while Kyoko is in the most unflattering swimsuit ever. XD

Kyoko tells him that he should resign since he’s not suited in their world. When Akira asks why, Kyoko says that all of them who works in the nightlife have a certain darkness in them. They have been through a lot and they are not like Akira who came from a nice place. When Akira asks her on why she became a hostess, she says that she finds night life being magical. She adds that the night is kind to those who have the resolved to work hard and for those who have no resolved, they will face many difficulties.

Speaking of resolved, Akira comes to work and learns that Miki has resigned. Akira begs her to stay and Miki challenges him to lick her shoe. Showing his resolved, Akira kneels down and licks Miki shoe. Eeew. Well, Miki is obviously embarrassed for her own dare and changes tactic by telling Akira that she knows that he’s ashamed of working in their world so why would she believe in his words.

Akira chases over Miki, whom he found being forced to work in a shady bar by her boyfriend. Her boyfriend, Hideto, owns 20 million Yen and Miki has to worked hard so she can pay his debts. Akira enters the scene and Hideto tells him that he can do what he wants with his woman. Akira says that he doesn’t care about Miki at all, he only cares about himself. Akira receives some beating from Hideto until Miki snaps back to reality and stops Hideto, the onlookers starts saying about  calling the police and Akira uses that commotion to grab Miki away from her boyfriend.

The two end-up somewhere, Miki asks him on why he’s being so nosy and Akira says that he has decided to become her manager. Miki says that he’s not fit to be the manager and Akira shares his sorry story from running away from home, failing his entrance exam twice, and being forced to follow the future that his parents has decided for him. Well, everything else has changed when he met Kyoko and he starts thinking differently, he used to be ashamed of working in the night life, but he learned from someone that there is magic in the night. Akira asks Miki if they should look for it together, the magic in the night. He also promises Miki that he’ll always be there for her.

At Juliet the next day, one of Miki’s clients arrived and  starts looking for her. Akira says that she’ll arrive shortly and Harada tells him that he should take responsibility and resign if Miki will not arrive. Akira agrees to his terms and he’s still confident that Miki has not gone back with Hideto. Well, soon enough, Miki arrives and Akira confidently says, “Miki-san, you have been designated. Will you please show the magic of the night to the customer?”

For the first time in his life, Akira has made a decision for himself and by himself.

Comments

Why do Nakajima Kento gets cast in roles were he gets beat up a lot? Is he masochistic or something? haha. Anyway, NakaKen as Akira is just bland, I can’t see or feel his frustration from all the stress that had accumulated from his parent’s pressure. Well, he tries to look the part of a pressured ronin but the only time where I really see him act was when he kissed Miki’s shoe, you can see sincerity there.

Nozomi Sasaki as Kyoko is full of eye candy but her eyes look detached sometimes, like she doesn’t have a connection at all with Akira. In fact, I can see more connection and chemistry between Akira and Miki especially when Akira made Miki faced him to say that he’ll always be there for her.

If the leads were so-so, the supporting cast are waaaaay better. Thankfully, there are experienced actors in this drama so it won’t look like that the entire drama is just a rehearsal. Kaname Jun is so cool and Yamamoto Yusuke is so convincing that I want to hate his character. Why the guy is only doing supporting roles lately? I have no idea. Oh, I always have a soft spot for Yasui Kentaro since “49” and biases aside, he acts better than NakaKen here. I guess this happens when one keeps on doing supporting roles, slowly but surely, you get more experienced than those who are always playing the lead. Let’s not forget the boss, he’s always effective in any character that he plays.

The plot is so-so and it makes you wish that there would be more instead of seeing Akira climbed to be the best manager in Juliet. For first impressions, “Kurofuku Monagatari” isn’t really my thing, but if you’re Nakajima Kento’s fan, you might just overlook everything else.

Usual credits apply.

Instead of my usual year-end review, I decided to divide them in different category. Anyway, most of Johnny-starring dramas this year are ratings nightmare, but it doesn’t really mean that they were all that bad. In fact, I’ve learned so much with each dramas and that is something I want to share.

Lessons I learned from Dramas

  • Shitsuren Chocolatier

What I learned : Chocolate is a cure for heartbreak but it doesn’t make you immune from it and it doesn’t make you a better lover either.

  • Yowakutemo Katemasu

What I learned : Forget all about theories and experiments, you’ll still lose.

  • Shinigami-kun

What I learned : You can extend your life span but you’ll still die.

  • Nobunaga no Chef season 2

What I learned : Food is mightier than sword. After all, no one fights a battle on an empty stomach.

  • SMOKING GUN

What I learned : Food is mightier than a gun and it all takes a donut.

  • HERO 2

What I learned : Always re-investigate the case because detectives always miss something crucial.

  • Suikyu Yankees

What I learned : Be very careful who your child meets, it will affect his affect his future especially his hair color and taste in fashion.

  • Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo NEO

What I learned : It takes three or four murders before you can solve a mystery. Pray that you have to die last.

  • Kagi no Kakatta Heya SP

What I learned : It takes three or four murders to solve a mystery, pray that it’s a locked room murder or you’ll be sorry.

  • SHARK

What I learned : Disbanding a bitch, go solo.

  • SHARK 2

What I learned : It should have been called “Cloud5”.

  • Gomen ne Seishun

What I learned : Atone for your sins by marrying the younger sister and get the job that you’ve always wanted.

  • Kurufuku Monogatari

What I learned : Night life is full of women, booze, and punches in your face. In short, there’s nothing really magical about it.

  • Jigoku-sensei Nube

What I learned : Leave the town and settle somewhere else.

  • Dr. DMAT

What I learned : Let’s all bully Hibiki because making him feel useless is a sure way for him to move his ass.

  • Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo 2014 SP

What I learned : Never ever enroll your child in a prison school. Seriously, who does that?

  • Kindaichi Kosuke VS Akechi Kogoro Futatabi SP

What I learned : Kindaichi Hajime’s grandfather had it tough.

  • Kinkyori Renai ~Season Zero~

What I learned : It’s hard to choose between two girls that you’ve known forever when you can always date your student in the future.

  • Naze Shojowa Yukai Sa Renakereba Naranakatta no Ka? SP

What I learned : Don’t trust mothers who are too nice, wears too red lipstick, and those with social media accounts.

*I only included dramas that I’ve watched and those that starred Johnny’s in lead roles.

Nakajima Kento and Sato Shori gets emotional in their first solo concert

Sexy Zone‘s Nakajima Kento had his first solo concert (performance) at Tokyo Dome City Hall last Aug 10th. Nakajima tries some tricks he learned from being a host in his previous drama, “Kurufuku Monogatari“, and greets the audience in a flirtatious way. Nakajima, who called himself KENTY, appeared with a sunglasses and a bouquet of roses as he threw flying kisses to the delight of his fans. 2,400 fans gets more delighted (read: scream) when he announced that he wants to hug one of them.

After the fan service, Nakajima gets to his grooves on, sang some of Sexy Zone’s hits, and played the piano. He gets pretty emotional afterward as he thank his fans for they support. Fellow Sexy Zone, Sato Shori, rushed on stage to be with Nakajima. Also spotted among the audience is NEWS‘s Masuda Takahisa.

After Nakajima, Sato Shori also had his first solo concert last Aug 14th at the same venue. Sato is accompanied by Johnny’s Jr. unit, Kinpuri, where he gets to try roller skating for the first time. Sato also sang some of Sexy Zone’s songs as well as some hits of his senpais. Unlike Nakajima, Sato chose not to cry after his performances, but Nakajima maintained his “prince-like” persona and gave 18 red roses to Sato in his dressing room.

The said concert is part of Sexy Zone’s series of solo concerts that started with Kikuchi Fuma. Matsushima Sou and Marius Yo also had theirs in EX Theater Roppongi.

I’m glad to know that the younger ones also had their solo con. I haven’t been paying attention to this group so I failed to write about the other member’s concert, or maybe, I’m just not that interested. haha. Apparently, these solo concerts are made so they can grow individually before they resume their group activities. Frankly, I’d rather see them doing group performances so they can grow as a group because that’s what they lack the most.

Anyway, I never really get the appeal of Kento, he is cute but it also look like he was trying too hard with his “prince-like” character. It’s getting annoying. haha. As for Shori, he’s looking so fine since his “Hungry!!” days.

Nakajima Kento Plays a Super Sadist in New Movie

I wonder if NakaKen took lessons from Kanjani8‘s Okura Tadayoshi on being super sadistic since NakaKen’s new role is a far cry from his princely persona.

Sexy Zone‘s Nakajima Kento will star in the live adaptation of shoujo manga, “Kurosaki kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai“. Joining him in the movie are Komatsu Nana and Chiba Yudai.  “Kurosaki kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai” is about a plain girl named Yuu who wants to fall in love with someone like the White Prince (Chiba) but she can’t also ignore the super sadist Black Prince (Nakajima).

I used to read this manga before until it bores me. It has all the typical shoujo elements like the bad guy who isn’t really mean, the good guy turns out to be shady, and the girl is the queen of denial aside from being a masochist. Sorry for spoiling the movie, haha.

This is Nakajima’s second movie, his first movie was “Silver Spoon” and “Kurosaki kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai” will hit the theaters in 2016.

Kishi Yuta Joins Nakajima Kento in “Kurosaki-kun”

The movie is raining with bishies but still not enough to make me interested.

As reported earlier, Sexy Zone‘s Nakajima Kento will play the super sadist “Black Prince” (Black Devil) in the upcoming live adaptation of “Kurosaki kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai“. The movie also stars Komatsu Nana (Kinkyori Renai) as the heroine and the uber cute Chiba Yudai as the “White Prince”.

Kurosaki kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai” tells the story of Yuu (Komatsu) and her ideals on the guy that she likes. It was easy for her to fall for the White Prince (Chiba) but somehow her heart beats for the Black Prince, Kurosaki (Nakajima), who even kissed her as a punishment.

Joining the cast is Kinpuri‘s Kishi Yuta who will play the role of Kazi Yusuke. Kazi’s character was drawn by the author to have an absolute obedience to Kurosaki. I like Kishi in “Kinkyori Renai~season zero~” but his character in “Onii-chan, Gacha” made me yawn or maybe because Suzuki Rio is too talented that she overshadowed him.

Rounding-up the cast are: Suzuki Hirono, Kitamura Yui, Hasegawa Rimo, and Kurosaki Reina.

Kurosaki kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai” will hit the theaters on Feb 27, 2016.

Bits & Pieces 028

My birthday week is over and so sorry for the lack of updates in this blog. Well, I have to twerk some programs with my PC and work has gotten busier. So, here are the news and not-so news that I missed. Collated from Nov 10th to 15th. Involved parties are: Chinen Yuri, Kimura Takuya, Kamenashi Kazuya, Yamada Ryosuke, 4u, and Nakajima Kento.

  • Actress Kimura Tae joins Hey!Say!JUMP‘s Chinen Yuri and Uchimura Teruyoshi in the movie “Kinmedaru otoko” (Gold medal man). The movie tells the story of Akita Izumi who is obsessed in getting the first prize. Chinen will play as the adolescent Akita in the movie.

  • The nominees have been announced for the “40th Hochi Film Award” and three of them are from Johnny’s! They are SMAP‘s Kimura Takuya for “HERO“, KAT-TUN‘s Kamenashi Kazuya for “Joker Game“, and Hey!Say!JUMP‘s Yamada Ryosuke for “Ansatsu Kyoushitsu” and “Grasshopper“. Wow, double nominations for Yamada! How about Toma? During the 39th Hochi Film Awards, V6’s Okada Junichi took home the Best Actor trophy. Will it be another Johnny’s this year?

  • Johnny’s Jr. Unit, “4U“, will be starring in the stage play “REPAIR“. I’m not yet sure about the plot but based from the introduction, it will be a story about 4 youths who are working in a car repair shop and have lost their sight on their goals…

  • Prequel SP’s are becoming a trend in Johnny’s nowadays. After the success of “Kinkyori Renai~Season Zero”, Sexy Zone‘s Nakajima Kento‘s upcoming movie, “Kurosaki-kun“, will be getting two consecutive drama SPs December of this year. I’m not sure if people will be interested to see the movie after the drama SP because the movie’s trailer doesn’t leave much to be desired. If you feel like checking-out the trailer, click HERE.

That’s all for now! I have to finish recapping 5-ji before I take another hiatus. I’m leaving you with a post showing how much Nino have age over the years, if he ever age that is!

Google Maps and Johnny’s

Okay, so this is a weird post that  I felt like sharing. Frankly, I rarely used Google Maps, but when I do, I used it to search places. Places, not names, unless it’s a street or building named after a person. So, what would happen if you search someone from Johnny’s using Google Maps? Well, if you think that you will be lead to their residence, well, think again.

  • If you search KAT-TUN, you will be directed to Tokyo Dome. If you search for the members from Kamenashi Kazuya, Junno Taguchi, and Ueda Tatsuya, nothing will come out. However, if you search Nakamaru Yuichi, you will be directed to Waseda University. I think this makes sense because Nakamaru graduated from Waseda University.
  • Surprisingly, Arashi and SMAP are not registered. However, if you search KinKi Kids, you will also be directed to Tokyo Dome as well as Imperial Theater. As for other groups like Kanjani8, Kis-My-Ft2, Johnny’s WEST, Hey!Say!JUMP…nothing will appear as well.

sz

  • For Sexy Zone, you will directed to “Fuji-Q Highland“, an amusement park. Well, Sexy Zone did a program at the said place.

  • Individually, searching for Sakurai Sho will lead you to Keio University and  Nakajima Kento to Meiji Gakuin University.

All in all, stick to searching proper places the next time you use Google Maps.
